Generalisation
In this unit, you will learn what exactly generalization means, as well as the importance of generalisation in cartography. Most of the text come originally from the book "Kartengraphik und Generalisierung" (Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Kartographie 1975).
Prerequisites are knowledge about map scale and about the different readability rules. You need to have a look first at the following units
