Self Assessment

In these animations you have the chance to check your understanding of Boolean overlay. Proceed as follows:

  1. The first step is to decide which input variables you want to use for your suitability analysis. Click the legend boxes of the corresponding attribute classes from the two thematic layers land use and slope. The selected areas are highlighted
  2. Select a Boolean operator for the link
  3. Click and select the sub-areas in your resulting map that correspond to your query. In the vector model click the resulting polygons; in the raster model, click the resulting pixels
  4. Check if you have selected the correct areas by pressing "Check". If you have trouble, do not worry – after several failed attempts you will get help.
